Cybertel, in collaboration with industry partners Northcom and Rohill, has successfully showcased the interoperability between MCX and TETRA radio systems for a Nordic state-owned mining operator.
This mining customer operates across five distinct communication networks, including Industrial WiFi, an Analog Radio System, TETRA, a public broadband mobile network, and a 5G SA test network. While the current TETRA system provides reliable coverage and is expected to remain a key component for overground operations over the next five years, the growing demand for interworking between narrowband and broadband systems has become a strategic priority.
The ultimate objective is the implementation of 5G throughout the mine, enabling seamless and efficient communication across all operations.
In 2022, Cybertel successfully completed a commercial Proof of Concept (PoC) with the Australian government, validating interoperability with P25 systems in line with 3GPP standards. Building on this pioneering experience, Cybertel continues to set new benchmarks in the critical communications industry, delivering innovative interoperability solutions with confidence and reliability.
Cybertel extends its gratitude to Northcom and Rohill for their unwavering support and effort, even in challenging snowy conditions.
