At Entel, we are committed to advancing marine safety through innovation, with a keen focus on customer feedback. Following significant market demand since the launch of our MED models four years ago, we are introducing a primary one-shot emergency battery, the CLB850FF, available from May 2024.

While not mandated by MED standards, this new battery addresses the needs expressed by our customers. However, ensuring compatibility with existing Fire Fighter radios posed a challenge. To enable functionality with the CLB850FF, all previously sold IIB models require a firmware update, detailed in the provided link.

Regrettably, implementing hardware changes for IIC models already in use proved impractical. To prevent confusion arising from different hardware versions in the field, we will not support the one-shot battery on IIC radios (DT944FF & DT985FF).

The new one-shot primary battery will be included as standard with DT844FF and DT885FF radio sets, alongside the standard rechargeable battery, with minimal cost adjustment. Your account manager will provide confirmation of revised pricing.
