Runbo, a leading provider of rugged mobile phones, tablets, and body-worn cameras, has conducted training for the Kunming Emergency Management Bureau following the delivery of its latest innovation, the Rugged Mobile Device E81. This device is a versatile communication tool that combines DMR, PTToC, and Satellite protocols. The successful training session took place at the Kunming Tang Golf Hotel on 27-28 September.

Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan Province in southwestern China, is often referred to as the "City of Eternal Spring" due to its lush landscape. However, the region faces challenges such as floods and earthquakes often, efficient emergency communication systems are crucial for local authorities.

Runbo recognizes the critical role of communication during emergencies, especially when first responders are on-site for rescue operations. A dependable and versatile system becomes essential when mobile networks become unavailable after disasters. Runbo's E81 is a 5G convergent radio which can connect to the existing DMR network, establishing a resilient network using its UHF or VHF channels for rescue efforts. The networking options are highly adaptable, allowing for the creation of groups involving various units from different counties or departments. These radios are designed to withstand all weather conditions, boasting IP68 water resistance and MIL-STD-810H compliance.

In worst-case scenarios, first responders can utilize the satellite feature of the E81 to transmit onsite photos or videos to the command center, facilitating accurate decision-making and saving valuable time during rescue missions. Moreover, it can seamlessly interact with other satellite devices held by the Kunming Emergency Management Bureau.
