HMF Smart Solutions announces the official completion of the project in the Netherlands – a final acceptance test for the mission-critical TETRA communications network of the Dutch security and rescue forces (C2000) was carried out in December.

The state-of-the-art ACCESSNET®-T IP system from HMF is used by the entire Dutch police force, fire brigade and all emergency services in the Netherlands, meets the highest technological standards and performs securely, stably and reliably.

“For HMF, the final turnkey acceptance was once again a very special moment, as we have now officially completed the largest TETRA project in the company’s history. The radio system has been delivered in full, went live overnight in just one step and has been running successfully in regular operation ever since. We are very proud to have implemented and put into operation one of the most modern nationwide communication systems in Europe with our TETRA system in the Netherlands,” says CEO Martin Hucke, who led the project from the very beginning.

The Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice commissioned HMF with renewing the nationwide TETRA network in 2015. An average of 18,600 radios are logged in every day via the new, state-of-the-art ACCESSNET® T-IP system from HMF. Each day, around 155,000 calls are counted and 100 emergency calls processed.

With HMF, the Dutch emergency services continue to have a strong partner at their side who will continue to provide intensive support for network operations and can make adjustments at any time if necessary. Since the migration, the HMF team has been in close dialogue with all stakeholders and users. This ensures, among other things, that the highest availability requirements in the network are met at all times.
