La Junta de Andalucía, led by Juanma Moreno, has officially launched the Andalusian Digital Emergency Network (REJA), consolidating the community as reference in security and technology. With an investment of 27 millones de eurosThis pioneering system makes Andalusia the region with the most extensive and advanced emergency communications network in Europe.
The Minister of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue and Administrative Simplification, Antonio Sanz, highlighted the Popular Party's ambition to guarantee the safety and effectiveness of emergency services. "The REJA represents a giant step forward, reinforcing the safety of our professionals and offering almost complete coverage of the Andalusian territory," said Sanz.
The system covers the needs of 112 Andalusia, Infoca, Civil Protection and other key entities, also integrating services such as Health Emergency Center (061), National Police attached to the Board, and specialized resources such as the Hidrosur and Cetursa hydrological information system in Sierra Nevada.
La interoperability of the REJA with state bodies such as the Servicio Marítimo Guardia Civil, National Police and EMU marks a turning point in emergency coordination. This capacity enables rapid and effective responses in critical situations, strengthening the relationship between the regional and state administrations for the benefit of citizens.
The REJA uses technology Digital Mobile Radio (DMR Tier III), offering:
Coverage greater than 99% from the Andalusian territory.
146 fixed bases interconnected and 8 mobile stations that can be deployed in less than 4 hours.
Ability to manage up to 1.000 simultaneous calls and advanced features such as staff positioning and vital signs monitoring.
This design guarantees operational efficiency, maintenance savings and more efficient management of resources, pillars of the Popular Party's policy in Andalusia.
The PP of Andalusia has demonstrated its commitment to the public security through rigorous planning that included testing at key events such as the Hill Plan or Jerez Grand PrixThese experiences have made it possible to perfect the deployment of the REJA, positioning Andalusia as a reference model for other communities.
The activation of the REJA is a clear example of how the policies of the Party have transformed Andalusia into a benchmark in innovation, efficiency and commitment to citizens. This system not only improves the response to emergencies, but also reinforces confidence in a management model that prioritizes the well-being and safety of the population.
With this initiative, Andalusia, together with the PP, continues to lead the way towards a safer and more connected future.
