Aramco Digital has announced the successful initial operational deployment of its mission-critical network, marking a key milestone in the development of a secure, AI-driven connectivity infrastructure. This deployment reinforces Aramco Digital’s strategic role in driving nationwide digital transformation in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
Eid AlHarbi, President of Connectivity at Aramco Digital, highlighted the significance of the launch, calling it a defining moment in advancing mission-critical capabilities across the Kingdom. “This achievement reflects our commitment to delivering resilient, intelligent, and secure digital infrastructure that supports national transformation objectives,” he stated.
The initial deployment integrates AI-powered crowd management, secure communications, and advanced digital infrastructure to optimize field operations and enhance public safety — particularly during high-density events such as the pilgrimage. It also demonstrates the network’s operational readiness in one of the world’s most challenging environments, enabling real-time insights and comprehensive performance analysis.
This milestone sets the stage for a phased nationwide rollout, with plans to extend coverage to more than 50 industrial zones across Saudi Arabia. The network is engineered to provide exceptional reliability, robust security, and immediate operational readiness for mission-critical applications.
In October 2024, Aramco Digital received the 450 MHz Band License for its specialized radio network from the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST), laying the regulatory foundation for this ambitious initiative.
With this deployment, Aramco Digital is not only transforming connectivity but also contributing to the broader national agenda of innovation and digital excellence.
