BRUSSELS, Belgium — ASTRID is expanding the capabilities of Blue Light Mobile with the introduction of eSIM support, offering subscribers a digital alternative to traditional physical SIM cards. The new feature is available through My ASTRID, the renewed subscription management platform.
The introduction of eSIM technology enables Blue Light Mobile subscribers to activate their mobile subscriptions more quickly and conveniently without inserting or replacing a physical SIM card. The digital solution also provides greater flexibility, enhanced security and simplified subscription administration.
The new eSIM option is designed to streamline mobile connectivity management for professionals working in Belgium's emergency response and security sectors. By enabling digital SIM activation, ASTRID aims to reduce administrative procedures while improving the user experience for Blue Light Mobile subscribers.
The eSIM service is optional. Existing physical SIM cards remain fully supported and can continue to be ordered, allowing subscribers to retain their current arrangements or adopt the digital alternative according to their operational requirements.
The launch of eSIM support reflects ASTRID's continued efforts to modernise mobile services in line with the evolving needs of emergency responders and security professionals. As mobile communications become increasingly digitalised, flexible subscription management and secure connectivity remain important elements of operational readiness.

With eSIM now available through My ASTRID, subscribers gain an additional option for managing their mobile connectivity while maintaining access to the existing Blue Light Mobile service.
