The Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS) has announced a comprehensive relaunch of its customer service portals for the federal networks, known as the Netze des Bundes, as well as the interconnection network (Link). The upgrade marks a significant step in modernizing digital services and strengthening communication between authorities at all administrative levels in Germany.
The users of the Netze des Bundes are highly diverse, ranging from top federal authorities to municipal institutions. These organizations rely on secure and reliable data exchange for a wide variety of operational tasks and working environments. Reflecting this diversity, BDBOS places strong emphasis on continuously evolving its networks in line with customer needs and operational requirements.
Since their introduction, the BDBOS customer service portals have served as secure, externally accessible platforms providing centralized information and services for network users. In response to evolving web standards and increased expectations for usability and digital efficiency, the portals have now undergone an extensive redesign.
The relaunch introduces a clearer and more intuitive navigation structure, along with a modernized and user-friendly interface. This improved design enhances accessibility and supports more efficient use of services across user groups. In addition, the updated architecture provides a scalable foundation for integrating future digital solutions, enabling BDBOS to further expand its service portfolio over time.
According to BDBOS, the modernization of the customer portals represents a key milestone in strengthening customer engagement and improving the overall digital service experience. By aligning more closely with user requirements, the agency aims to further consolidate trust, improve communication quality, and enhance long-term customer loyalty across the federal network ecosystem.
The updated portals reflect BDBOS’s ongoing commitment to digital transformation and the continuous improvement of secure communication infrastructure for Germany’s public administration.
