Motorola Solutions today announced the launch of its WAVE PTX™ communication solution in the Dominican Republic. The broadband push-to-talk (PTT) subscription service allows companies to connect different work teams instantly and reliably across 3G, LTE, WiFi and land mobile radio (LMR) networks to keep operations up and running.
WAVE PTX™ is designed to meet the operational needs of multiple industries, no matter how simple or complex their operations. It enables secure, instant voice and data communications, allowing workers to share images, documents, messages and videos, and to stay connected using their usual devices, including smartphones, tablets and radios. Precise mapping tools within the solution can also identify the location of people and resources, helping to increase situational awareness and protect workers in times of emergency.
“Workers need to be able to connect from any location on any device to maximize their safety and efficiency,” said Gustavo Daza, MSSSI vice president of Enterprise Sales, Motorola Solutions Latin America & the Caribbean. “WAVE PTX is a flexible and scalable solution that can be quickly implemented to support immediate collaboration and connection across teams, no matter where they are.”
Motorola Solutions’ TLK 100 and TLK 110 devices are designed exclusively for WAVE PTX and allow for interoperability with two-way radio systems to expand coverage and connectivity across facilities and functions. The ruggedized devices are tested according to military standards and support location tracking and emergency alerts. TLK 110 devices offer additional safety features such as ‘Lone Worker’ and ‘Fall Alert,’ which activate alarms if isolated workers fail to check in on time or experience a potential incapacitation. The devices are available in the Dominican Republic through authorized Motorola Solutions distributors.
