TCCA is pleased to announce the addition of the CritCom Association for Critical Communications from Hungary as its newest member. The Association was established at the initiative of Pro-M Zrt., Hungary’s government communications service provider, and held its inaugural General Assembly on 25 July 2023.

Today, CritCom counts 16 legal entities, 67 individual members, five associate members, and maintains cooperation agreements with nine partner organisations.

The Association was founded to enhance the national development and implementation of mission-critical communications. It aims to complement existing TETRA-based secure voice services with the advancement of state-owned, mission-critical mobile broadband solutions — extending beyond the remit of Pro-M.

“Regional critical communication associations are an important part of driving collaboration, innovation and interoperable open standard solutions for the benefit of essential end users,” said TCCA CEO Kevin Graham. “We are pleased to welcome Hungary’s CritCom Association and thank TCCA member Pro-M for establishing this important national association and Miklós Takács for longstanding support for TCCA. We look forward to working with Czintula György and team, and welcome the experience, insights and progress that they can share with global peers as all strive towards our common objectives- harmonised secure trusted available and interoperable connectivity.”

The CritCom Association is structured into three independent sections — Development, Telecommunications, and User — each guided by dedicated section leaders. Throughout 2024, CritCom has been active in the sector, organising 10 mini-conferences and workshops, participating in 12 key ICT events, and co-hosting the national Professional Mobile Telecom Day (EDR Day).

TCCA warmly welcomes the CritCom Association into its global community of critical communications stakeholders and looks forward to a productive collaboration in the years ahead.
