The Center for Applied Communications and Networks (CACN), a member of The Texas A&M University System, has achieved ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), recognizing CACN's technical competence to conduct Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) conformance and interoperability testing.
The accreditation confirms CACN's ability to perform testing in accordance with NENA-STA-010.3-2021. The accreditation is valid through March 31, 2028, under A2LA Certificate No. 7443.01, and is internationally recognized through the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement.
ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation is the international benchmark for testing and calibration laboratories. It signifies that CACN's NG9-1-1 testing is performed using documented and repeatable procedures, controlled test environments, validated tools, and independent technical review.
“ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation demonstrates that our NG9-1-1 testing program meets internationally recognized standards for technical rigor and impartiality,” said Anjuli Renold, senior associate director for research administration at CACN.
